Concerned over increasing incidents of crime against women, an American Based Company - Vaporite has developed a Safety device called Plug which sends SMS to the emergency contacts with GPS location and updates a trouble post on facebook and twitter with the exact location. In case when mobile is destroyed or has a network problem, people who have the application and comes within the range of 100 feet of the troubled user will also get location updates so that he can be tracked and saved. This device comes with a battery life of 12 months and does not require any charging. The location updates will be send after every 3 minutes to the emergency contacts and so will be the posts on facebook and twitter. While developing the device every small thing was taken into consideration. Thinking of the feasibility of available devices in the market like pepper spray and apps on the mobile, its hard for the women to fetch phone or any such devices from the bag and use it. This device will work on just a single click.

Plug is a pendant made of rust-proof and non-corrosive metal casing and comes with a fashionable design which can be changed in looks and colors.

The device will be linked to wearers mobile using Vaporite SOS app. In case of emergency, a click on the device will send a location alert to the emergency contacts of the user and there will be post on facebook and twitter along with the GPS location. Incase you forget to wear the pendant you can send an alert via app by clicking SOS button.

Vaporite, with its locations in USA, Spain, Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and China, is into development of many technology related products since 2006 which are useful for people in different ways related to health, safety, fitness and beauty care.

Disclaimer : Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.
